Hi, I’m from italy, and I’m interested in this prize.
What I’d like to know is that if a there is a reward or it is just to be put in a context of video dance,
can you explain me a little bit how does it work?
Thank you for your interest in the festival. We are not a competition and do not award prizes. As a festival, we screen video dance films and organize an exhibition for dance photography and video dance installations. Our goal is to provide access to the public in the growing and exciting field of movement and image, particularly in time-based media and new technologies. If you’re interested in submitting a dance film, installation or photograph, I invite you to consult our submission process found here on the blog.
We have not yet begun production of a submission for 2012 but we did enjoy watching the video of last year’s official selection. This gives us a better idea of the concept of video dance. Hope we’re not commenting in the wrong part of this web site, but we just wanted to appreciate all the videos we saw. We especially enjoyed the first one (There is a Place), the dance in the forest (Stronger), the dolphin dance, and, especially, the last video (Gaffe)
